Vocational Education
Thematic Area of Intervention
Considering current problem of the country CCFRY focused on the most deprived and vulnerable population to provide access to shelters, food, drinking water and hygiene facilities and support to the education to uplift socio-economic conditions by reducing the risk of deterioration of livelihood status of the people. One of the core areas of priorities is enlisted below;
Vocational Education
National vocational education system could not reach to the wider population to provide skill training as per the demand of the domestic job market. Vocational and technical training are poorly developed, and the national system of higher education is overwhelmed by high enrollment and inadequate resources. Many secondary school and college graduates are unable to find jobs commensurate with their education. Unemployment amongst 16-45 groups is verging on more than 20 percent and large numbers of Nepalese youth leave the country in search of low skilled or unskilled work. As with many low-income economies, addressing the skills gap is one of the key policy improvements needed if this pool of potential talent is to find decent work and contribute to the continued development of the country.
Nepalese youths are unemployed and generally move for the mainly gulf countries for unskilled employment. So, skill is one of the means of livelihood and earning capacity of people compared with unskilled workforce. In this regard to support development objective of country to upgrade from least developed to developing by 2022 and middle income county by 2030 organisation would contribute in the vocation education sector through various promotional activities. To achieve these aims and contribute in sustainable development, providing demand based skill to the community our organization will focus on vocational training and activities are as follwing;
- Providing entrepreneurship skill targeting to the unemployed youth
- Providing need and demand based basic and advanced skill training to the unemployed youths targeting to the disadvantaged and women and vulnerable populations
- Support skilled workforce in access to the finance and entrepreneurial modern technology
